In this, the first film of the trilogy, Marlon Brando stars in his Oscar-winning role as Don Vito Corleone, patriarch of the Sicilian mob family, and Al Pacino as Michael, his youngest son. Michael is at first reluctant to join the family business, but as he and his wife (Diane Keaton) are drawn in, they become involved in an inevitable cycle of violence and betrayal.

Based on Mario Puzo’s bestselling novel, this brilliant film garnered ten Academy Award nominations and won three when it was released, including Best Picture. This 4k digital restoration includes 1,000 hours of color correction and restoration of the original mono tracks, in addition to 4,000 hours of repairing stains and tears, all under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola. The result is a version of The Godfather that’s more stunning than ever, and a ticket that you can’t refuse.
