Old-fashioned in the best sense, The Choral is the story of a Yorkshire choir who, during World War I, loses so many adult male singers that it creatively recruits new members to stay afloat. With lovingly applied period details and a standout performance from Ralph Fiennes at its center, this beautifully crafted story explores how music and companionship may not be able to stop the horrors of war, but they can provide a respite.

* Monday, February 2nd at 7pm, we’ll hold a special fundraiser screening of this film in collaboration with representatives from The Newburyport Choral Society. Tickets are nearly sold out are no longer available online, but a handful are available at the door.
