Ever wanted to bring your crochet to the cinema, but it’s just too dark? Work on that knitted scarf but worried about annoying the person next to you? Look no further because Craft Cinema is coming to Newburyport!

Once a month this fall, Newburyport Recreation and Youth Services and The Screening Room are partnering to bring you a classic rom-com to craft to, beginning with Practical Magic just in time for Halloween. Unlike traditional cinema experiences, the lights will be gently dimmed, allowing you to both enjoy the movie AND continue crafting. Whether you’re a fan of classic films, a lover of all things crafty, or simply seeking a unique activity, come out and join us!

Practical Magic (1998) stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as two witch sisters, Sally and Gillian Owens, who must use their magic to fight a curse that threatens their lives.
