Nightbitch

Golden Globe Nominee: Amy Adams (Best Actress - Musical or Comedy)

Showtimes December 13 - 19:

Recently nominated for a Best Actress Golden Globe for her performance, Amy Adams plays a woman who gave up her career to raise her son but is only now, four years into stay-at-home motherhood, realizing just how much the experience has changed her. She loves her son deeply, but that doesn’t prevent her from feeling isolated and exhausted. Her husband (Scoot McNairy), compassionate and helpful when he’s around, is frequently away on business, and her days have become a numbing grind of cutting bananas, changing diapers, and taking strolls to the library. Unable to connect with other mothers at Baby Book Time, and unable to keep her emotions bottled up inside any longer, Adam’s character begins to see and hear things in the night that beckon to her. Soon, something primal and feral rises up within her, allowing her to unleash – and potentially return to – her inner power and identity. Interwoven with elements of drama, comedy, and magical realism, and featuring a fearless and intelligent performance from Amy Adams, Nightbitch is a cathartic and darkly humorous examination of those aspects of motherhood of which we rarely speak.
