Showtimes November 8 - 14:

Conclave unfolds over a tension-riddled 72 hours, depicting a gripping confrontation between tradition, politics, and faith.

When The Pope unexpectedly dies, Cardinals from all over the world converge at the Vatican, where they will sequester themselves until a new pope is elected. Digital devices are stashed, doors are locked, and windows are shuttered as they prepare. The unenviable task of trying to ensure all goes smoothly falls to Ralph Fiennes’ character, Cardinal Lawrence, who reluctantly serves as dean of the process. While most assume the contest will come down to a battle between the reactionary conservative, Cardinal Tedesco (Sergio Castellitto), and the liberal progressive, Cardinal Bellini (Stanley Tucci), matters soon turn complicated as rumors circulate, secrets emerge, and acts of sabotage are undertaken.

Adapted by Peter Straughan from the best-selling novel by Robert Harris, the film captures the potent gravity of papal elections along with the uniqueness of the city, the halls, and the rooms in which they take shape. Sharp, sophisticated, and utterly enthralling, Conclave focuses on the all-too-human aspects of this harrowed procedure at the same time as it speculates on the role our institutions take in a rapidly changing world.
