A Room With a View finds Lucy (Helena Bonham Carter), a proper young British lady, facing a dilemma - should she marry the safe, nerdish Cecil (Daniel Day-Lewis), or opt for the unpredictability of the charismatic George (Julian Sands) whom she met on a tour of the continent? A thoroughly entertaining adaptation, the costumes, sets, and ambiance are dazzling. And with fine acting from a cast that includes Maggie Smith, Rupert Graves, and Judy Dench, there's not a false note in this charming masterpiece.
